It could well be superstitious, but it couldn’t be anything else. I have isolated the reason. I am talking about my newly acquired Ericsson R520m.
I started using it as my normal mobile phone to make sure that it is working before the 7 days warranty expires. I actually like it very much. However, since using it, there has been nothing but bad luck. Major screw up at work, very painful and swollen knee, flu and fever, 5 hours waiting in Emergency Dept at Tuen Mun Hospital (I went to my GP first, who recommended me to go the Emergency Dept.)
I have gone back to my trusty T68i. Hopefully things will be better. The R520m is destinated in the cold server room.

The Vampire Phone
Beside the Phone from Hell, there is the SE T610, the phone for vampires – the display is pitch black under the sun. Other than being a GPRS modem, I don’t know what anyone see in this piece of trash….
